While the beach was lovely and we really enjoyed the food & the room, the pool was definitely the biggest hit of resort. We spent the better part of the day both Friday and Saturday there.
The infinity edge was awesome - daddy loved it, Becky...not as much!
What Becky loved was this turtle that belonged to a little boy named Sam. They left on Saturday morning and kindly donated the turtle to her.
General fun

Every afternoon, a lovely young lady came around and offered us treats - chocolate ice cream dipped in chocolate! Yum!!! Eating them in the pool was the best - solved the drippy, messy ice cream everywhere problem!
Of course the beloved turtle needed to be in the family picture!
Who is the buff guy playing with my daughter??

It was a great trip - and we are very grateful to our friends at CCM and Heineken USA for extending their hospitality to us!

Beach Baby

The beaches at the resort were lovely, but not very swim friendly so our time on them was limited - but very enjoyable! The photos speak for themselves - enjoy!

A Five Star Baby

So my baby girl has no problems living the five star resort life!

Breakfast room service on the balcony overlooking the Sea watching the whales jump!

Taking a stroll with daddy on the grounds
Lunching with mamma
Mamma & Becky with their logo'd resort bags
Napping on the daybed
The ultimate in bathing luxury!
Next up - the beach baby!

We Interrupt this travel log

I had to interrupt the travel log to Mexico to post this.....

Some of you know that we have put a small garden room off of our bedroom. This project has expanded to include re-landscaping & hardscaping our backyard, requiring all of the outdoor items from the backyard to have a temporary home in the new garden room. I made the mistake today of not making sure the door from the bedroom to the garden room was closed when I went in to take a shower. One of the items being stored in the garden room is Becky's sand table.....she didn't feel like playing with the blocks & books in our room (there specifically for the shower time) and instead, she & Sailor thought they would explore the garden room and relocate the sand from the sand table to our room!

You can't tell in this picture, but I walked in to find her dumping shovels of sand onto the dog....As well as onto our floor - I did, however, make her help & clean it up!

Day 1 in Paradise

I am catching up on theses posts from our trip to Mexico. We didn't have great intenet access from our room so I am behind. (ok- truth time - I didn't even turn the computer on the entire time we were there we were having so much fun together just relaxing!)

For the past several years, Doug & I have been fortunate to be able to spend several days at the One & Only Palmilla in San Jose del Cabo as guests of Heineken USA and CCM. It is the most lovely place we have been - and we really enjoy the three days we have of utter pampering and indulgence. This year, they were kind enough to include us again and we were able to bring Becky. We arrived on Thursday afternoon, and immediately after we checked in, we went and had some lunch - what a view!

The view from our balconey wasn't too shabby either!

Of course, the pool view wasn't anything to complain about either - and we saw it a lot! Miss Becky thought the pool was just about the best thing!
She and "Aunt Ronnie" had a good time! The children's sectin of the pool was really cool - with a pool at the top of these shallow steps, then a collection pool that spilled in to the main pool.

Day 1 was absolutely wonderful - but day 2 & 3 were even better!

Bitter Sweet Goodbye

Today we reached a milestone for Becky. Once a week since the beginning of August, she has been having individual occupational therapy with Misty. First it was to help her transition to eating foods, then it was to help with her other developmental skills. Today was our last day with Misty because Becky has done so well and has totally caught up on all her developmental milestones! While I am thrilled that Becky has caught up, I am very sad that we won't be seeing Misty anymore. Becky really liked her time with Misty and she was one of the first people that Becky got comfortable with.

We may get a chance to stop in & see Misty on occassion - especially since we think we will be referred for speech therapy and we are requesting the team that Misty works with.

Florida Days

We had a whirlwind last two days in Florida. On Friday, Doug & Becky spent some time together in the pool
Then, Doug took Becky & I to Margaritaville for lunch (I think he's trying to turn our daughter into a Parrotthead - this is when your past comes back to haunt you!)

We then headed over to Sarasota to spend the evening with my Aunt Barbara & Uncle Bill. They had not had a chance to see Becky yet, and we are so glad we got to spend some time with them!
Becky enjoyed herself immensely
Saturday, we headed over the the beach for a little while; Becky had a good tie, but she likes the Pacific ocean better for some reason!
Actually, her favorite thing was the pool! She kept giving Aunt Barb quite a scare, so we finally took her in even though it was freezing!
We also celebrated my darling husband's birthday on Saturday (I won't tell you which one, but you can go here to see last year's and figure it out!). Happy Birthday honey - we love you!

We finished up the trip Saturday night with dinner with Victor and Joseph (and their mom & dad). Joseph sat next to Doug & charmed him - since that's what you should do to your future father in law! We miss you guys already!
A couple of days at home...then off to Cabo San Lucas on Thursday!
