Baby Love

There is no greater reminder of God's confidence in humanity that the arrival of a newborn baby. It is a visible and tangible and beautiful expression of how very much God loves his people.

Meghan Nicole Beasley arrived on January 4, 2015.

Grandma arrived in the wee hours of January 5, 2015. Let it be noted that this perfect baby is the ONLY reason I would take a red eye flight at this stage in my life!

Don't you just wish she had the language to tell you what was going on in that pretty little head of hers???

"hey- that baby is in MY spot"
"you can make me kiss her but I don't have to like it"

Nini's girl!!! I simply adore every single thing about this girl.

Baby love.

The best love in the world.

Worth a red eye flight and crazy (expensive) travel to be there when 3 became 4. Who knew when she said "yes" , the depth of the blessings that would over flow into our life. We thought we hit the jackpot with a wonderful, Godly son-in-law who treasures our first treasure for the jewel she is.

We had NO idea that from that "yes" would be these precious babies - double the jackpot twice over!

God's love come down to earth.

Baby love.

A more authentic winter experience....

After the fake southern California winter experience, it was time for a more authentic snow experience! We headed to Grandma and Granddad's house who graciously provided us with some snow to play in!

Where there is a will, there is a way....to make a snow angel - even in 1/2" of snow!
Sisterly love - warms the heart!
Our girls!

The girl cousins-it's a gang of girls, which is why the sole boy cousin is woefully absent from all these pictures!

Granddad and his girls!
A rare mom and dad shot.....
Not sure what was up here - but she really did have a good time!
Besides the snow- the hotel pool provided hours of entertainment!

Granddad took Katie on a snow hike

It was a wonderful weekend filled with winter snow and fun family time!!!

CHILL- or..."how Southern California does winter!"

We have had a lot go on since Christmas.

A lot. In just three weeks.

Chill. A visit to Grandma's. A baby join the family. A special friend from China visited. A BAD case of the flu made the rounds.

Starting with Chill - a Southern California winter wonderland experience! This is mostly a picture summary - and there are a lot of them because my children were especially cute this day!

The centerpiece of Chill is the ice Kingdom is the arena that has huge ice sculptures and is kept at 7 degrees. As is evident here, one of our children was not particularly about the jackets nor the temperature.

There is a huge ice replica of the Queen Mary with ice slides on either side. Those where a hit....

The thawing of unhappy child at the slide was only temporary....

After the ice kingdom, we did some ice skating - VERY fun!!!

Pretty sure they don't have iceskating in China! Julia wanted to try it out thought

It was a very fun day.....even the part where Katie decided to leave the group (without permission!) and head to the swings and take a ride. The rides were $5 - not sure how she did that, but she had a good time!
