Great things come in big brown trucks around here!
We received our referral package at 11:00 am this morning - praise God for Saturday UPS Delivery! The UPS guy thought I was absolutely out of my mind (which my husband would agree with!) as I was taking his picture as he walked up our driveway...and our two neighbors across the street were a little worried as I was jumping up & down & screaming!
Doug was out washing the car...and I immediately summoned him home! He opened the package and saw her precious face first - and broke out in the biggest smile! You can see why for yourself....
Isn't she just about the most beautiful baby you've ever seen?? We are so in love with her already!
For those who have asked - what will happen next is we have sent back to our agency our acceptance of her; we will then wait about 3-4 weeks for the US Consulate in Guangzhou to schedule our visa appointment; we generally travel about 6-8 weeks after referral date, so we anticipate that travel will be in mid to late May.
We are thankful to God that He has blessed up with this child; while the next weeks will be difficult for us with our daughter so far away, we trust our Lord to watch over her and keep her safe while He prepares her heart for her new family!

OH MY...She IS beautiful!!! She looks SO sweet! I love the photo of her standing next to the red chair. It looks like they really put some thought into taking that photo with the little slice of watermelon. :) Congratulations on your new daughter! Your day has finally come...God is good!
ReplyDeleteGrandmom Julie and Granddad Michael are jumping for joy. Sending warmth and love to our new, wonderful grandchild. Waiting, impatiently, for the day we are with her.
ReplyDeleteOh Karen---she is breathtakingly beautiful! She really and truly took my breath away. You know that referral photos are not always the most flattering photos but this...oh my this is beautiful. Her eyes are gorgeous and her cute little lips are adorable too. Her face is perfectly round. She looks like an angel. And she's tiny too. A lil peanut. I cannot wait to show Dave and the kids. They are all getting baths right now:) Love,
ReplyDeleteKim
Oh my goodness! She is the cutest little pea wee I have ever seen! I know you all must be so excited- we can't wait to meet her. I showed Brady and Nic her picture and they both smiled and giggled. Nic wanted to know why she doesn't have hair- hahaha He wants her to come to his house tomorrow so he can show her his Spiderman costume and I'm sure Brady will share his trains!!
ReplyDeleteKnow that we are praying for her and her safe journey home to us all!!
Love to you all-
She's the cutest thing ever! Can't believe we're finally looking at her sweet face. I love the picture of the UPS guy. And yes you are crazy.

She is absolutely beautiful!! You must be over the moon in love with that sweet face.
ReplyDeleteShe looks so TALL! Did you get measurements, too? I'll bet she's taller than the average baby her same age.
Congratulations, Mama & Baba!

Oh, Karen! I just can't get enough of her. I keep coming back for a little visit! She is just too precious. I love the way she's stretching up on her tippy toes like "look mom, see what a big girl I am!" We are rejoicing with you!
