All I've Waited For

Yesterday was a very special day here - my wonderful husband celebrated a birthday. It wasn't a "big" one, and there was not a lot of fan fair, but some family & some friends got together to celebrate him.

I know that most days, I am not the wife to him that God called me to be - I am wrapped up in my own needs & wants, overwhelmed by my stuff. But because he loves me, he puts up with this! Because he loves me, he tolerates my stubborn streak and my impulsive actions. Because he loves me, we have a growing family.

Yesterday, we all went around & told our favorite thing about Doug. My favorite thing about my husband is that because he loves God first & most, he loves me.

Becky just had to help daddy with his birthday!
