Not only were there no problems, but little Becky had a milestone or two while we were waiting. While we were on the Skype webcam phone with Grandma, Doug & our Monday night bible study -Becky pulled herself up for the first time. She put on quite the show for everyone....
After lunch, we shopped some more (don't worry honey - I am almost out of money...and I leave the credit cards at the hotel!). Becky met her first puppy...
Then we all went to a park in Guangzhou where the highlight is the 5 Goat statue, the symbol of the city. We are fortunate right now that Jane, the main CWA person in China is here with us from Beijing. She loves these little babies so much - and we CWA client's refer to her as the miracle worker!
I remember that part of the journey well- when you are just ready to be home in your bed, your routine, your schedule! Little Becky gets more beautiful every day. And she looks so tall today- like she's already growing in your care.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy next couple of days and have a safe journey home. (I meant to tell you this before you left... When we got to Immigration at LAX, we told an officer we were completing an international adoption, and we didn't have to wait in line. And it's a really, really long line!)
We love you all and continue to pray for you.
Your definition of normal as you know it is redefined. Having a child forever changes "normalness" and just when you think there is "normal" in life, the kid goes and changes it on you. Blessings as you find your new "normal".
