Passing time so pass the tissues

4 years ago today, this was the scene. One itty bitty baby, confused, over whelmed and developmentally behind. Coming off a 12 hour flight, with a double ear infection and wondering who this big white guy is!

4 years later - her last day of pre-school! She "passed" her kindergarden readiness test with every score at least 12 months above her chronological age, has a personality that is confident and playful and a zest for life that is unparalleled!
As every parent before me has asked..."where did the time go?"

I am so very proud of this little girl. She is the light and the sunshine everywhere she goes.

She loves Jesus, her sisters, her daddy and princesses.

She wants to know if she can go to kindergarden tomorrow.

She has the most sensitive heart and struggles to express it.

She is growing up far too fast for this momma.

Sniff, sniff....I am off to find a tissue....

  3. You are my hero, Karen! I am 52 years old and would not dream of starting over with young ones but I want you to know that my family and I have been so blessed by your actions and your posts. You have certainly stepped by faith outside of your comfort zone. Please know that I pray for you often. My Cami has just graduated from college with a degree in Chinese and her heart breaks for Chinese girls. We will be spending a few weeks in China in July teaching English and we will think of you often as we work with our students there, particularly the girls. Thank you for sharing your blessings with us.

  4. I understand Karen, my Morgan just had her pre-school graduation. It's tough seeing them grow up. Morgan said the same thing after graduation about starting kindergarten tomorrow. Oh their sweet little innocent minds huh? Enjoy your summer!
