Today, Becky had her follow up check up with Dr. Joe for her ear infections. She was in a great mood and she really enjoyed the paper liner on the exam table. Dr. Joe was amazed at how well she was doing - both how she looked and how she was acting.
However, it quickly went downhill after he checked her ears and the infection is still there - and prescribed an injection. There are no pictures of that...I couldn't see through my tears - Doug had to hold her because I couldn't even watch. She recovered better than I did -

This reminds me of the terrible experience I had while getting Lia's bloodwork done. They had to prick her 4 times before even a drip of blood was collected. Horrible:( Glad to see that she is adjusting so well.

ReplyDeletePlease know that the shots are always worse for the parents. You will learn to deal and eventually develop a code with Becky for how much "ouch" there will be.
Believe me, I've got it down and now my children trust me when they go to the doctor.
