Day 6 and 7 were events that excluded Cami...so as a consolation prize, she got to have a Christmas party with her friends. She asked for a gingerbread house making party. Fortunately, there a lovely little kits that mother's can buy to satisfy their children's creative urges in this area.
She invited the girls from her class over (along with one of the honorary girls!). These are amazing young women - they love the Lord, love each other and are just neat kids to be around.
They are also LOUD. Very, very loud.
They were intense and focused on the task at hand!
Finishes creations!
How I LOVE that they wanted to pray before they ate - and that one of them prayed for the others.....
Cheers!
Baby Averee was an honorary attendee (because her mom was an elf helper!) and managed to literally sleep through most of the party!
My helper elves - because they had to!
On the 5th day of Christmas, my true love gave to me....the gift of friendship for my daughter. These girls. There is drama - oh my, the 5th grade drama....but there is a deep abiding love for one another. They are more than just friends - they truly are sisters in Christ.

I love our 5th grade kids. But you left out something another LOUD! They are more than classmates, they are a family in Christ! I'm so grateful that you have afforded this opportunity for your daughter!
