Sometimes, a plan comes together. It might not on the surface seems the "best" plan, but it certainly has potential to be epic (one way or another!!)
Today, we embarked on such a plan.
At 6 am, the girls and I departed on the beginning of a 1750 mile journey to St. Louis. We know that with kids from hard backgrounds, this kind of trip is a huge risk, but for a lot of reasons....we loaded up and moved out this morning.
There were a variety of opinions on the departure.
Our first day's drive is going to Grandma's. We are starting slow - going to a familiar place. We had a some high points along the way -
And a low point or two (no - this child is not relieving herself. She was having a bit of a fit, so I pulled over to reassign seating in the car. She decided she was done with the car and the trip. She got over it fairly quickly)
We made it to grandma's in one piece and she had some new friends waiting for us! I suspect it is a good thing that her house is the first stop of 15 and that we are taking a different route home.....or we might have some stowaways in the car courtesy of the dynamic duo!
A slow start to a BIG trip.
Tomorrow - Albuquerque bound to see a new baby and her family!

4 kids, all available seats taken, within arms (and ears) reach of one another... My thoughts and prayers are with you! ; )
