The longest Day

We started our trek to China on Monday night at 10:20. Ashlee & Matt continued the previously established tradition and came to the airport with us - here's the last family picture with only 5 in it :)

Becky was a real trooper - she loved everything about the flight - she entertained herself quite well while we waited to board, and was quite excited when she got on the plane and realized she had her own tv! Cathay Pacific was a great choice for traveling with kids - they gave her kids sized headphones, a special kids meal with a curly straw and a goodies bag with stickers, crayons and other toys.

Becky slept a lot - on the flight to Beijing from Hong Kong, we made her a nest and she slept the entire flight - would have lasted till we landed probably but they made me get her up off the floor for landing.

It was nice to get here several hours before the rest of our travel group - we got settled and walked to the chinese supermarket to get some snacks for the room. We managed to figure out cheese & crackers, apple juice and cookies - not bad for the first time through on our own!

It looks like we will get Katie sometime between 9 and 10 am China time tomorrow (that's 5& 6 pm California time)!!!

  5. I cannot wait to see the pics! Katie is about to meet her family, and oh, what a joyous union it will be. I pray that she'll feel the love immediately, and that God will give her a peace unlike any other she's ever known. I hope you're resting.....you're about to give birth!

Much love from the Millers in NC!
