Today, we had two very big things occur. First, there was in the infamous "red couch" picture - where all the kids dress in traditional dress and group photos are taken. We had a relatively fair degree of success with this!
In the afternoon - we went to the US Consulate for the swearing in ceremony. They did a final check on the paperwork, then the parents took an oath that all the information we have given is correct - then - we're done! Katie's visa & brown envelope will be done tomorrow - and we can come home! We are not allowed to bring any cameras into the Consulate, but the girls looked cute waiting to go & on the bus!

I signed out so hopefully you will get this one....The girls look beautiful! Congratulations on the swearing in ceremony. I guess this all mans you are coming home in the next day or two? I am sure you are very excited about that!!!!
ReplyDeleteI have loved posting for you and reading about the journey and watching Katie blossom!!!

ReplyDeleteKaren-
ReplyDeleteThe picture of Becky and Katie on the bus just made me think....Becky is gaining something that I just can't describe, but it's great. Kind of an odd comment, but just had to state an impact and future sisterhood I feel from the picture.
Once again, Love Dave
Ahhh. Dresses for the consulate from my FAVORITE Shamian Island STore, I think!!! Precious
ReplyDeleteAwesome group shot - wonderful to see families "growing" through adoption. God is good!!!!

Praying you have safe travels back home and that the jet lag isn't too hard on you when you return. I've so enjoyed reading your blog and following along on your journey. I'm also following along on a few other blogs from your group, so it's neat seeing their photos on your blog, too. Take care and have a blessed trip home with your precious little girl!
