Welcome Home

I must begin this post with a disclaimer. One of the benefits of being the "editor" of our family blog is that I can chose which photos I post - and therefore can indulge my own vanity of never, no not ever, posting any picture of me which could even somewhat be construed as unflattering (which is why it took till the end of the trip to get a picture of Katie & I together!). However, in the interest of completing this photo essay of the last 17 days, I am breaking that rule. The following pictures were taken after being awake for 24 hours (with only 4 hours sleep the night before), a cramped ride on a crowded airplane with two toddlers who were somewhat cooperative, and no hairbrush.
But they represent the most important day of our trip - the one where we became a family of 6.....
finally through immigration & customs -
Becky was awfully glad to see Daddy - almost as much as he was to see her!

Angel was kind enough to send the travel group shirts to Doug, Ashlee & Matt - and they were good enough sports to wear them to the airport to meet us
a dad & his girls -
I am home. I am tired. I am happy. I am humbled.

  5. Now if I were up for 24 hours with hardly any sleep and traveling with two little kids, I really don't know if they would let me into the country for fear I would scare everyone!

However, you look radiant in the pictures . . . all I can see is love shining from you

    Congrats and welcome home!
